- The price of JR Express is "Base fare" plus "Express charge". (These are determined according to the distance.) In case of JR Express on Chuo Line, "Express charge" has two types: "Reserved seat" and "Undecided seat". Both have the same charge, which do not change depending on the season. However, the price will vary depending on where you buy. (Internet < Station < Inside the car). If you have an "Undecided seat" ticket, you can sit in any vacant seat, but you have no priority. So, if someone comes who has a "Reserved seat" ticket for the seat you are sitting, you have to give up the seat to him / her.
- Bicycle Stations for Koshu Bicycle Rental are located at Enzan Station, Katsunuma Budokyo Station, and Katsunuma Shisho. The service hours are 8:00-20:00. You can return it to the bicycle station other than the place where you borrowed. The purchase, payment method, membership registration, etc. are quite complicated, and the manned window is only Katsunuma Shisho. So it is better to check the detailed usage in advance.
- Machinoeki Yamanashi is located to the north of the post office in front of Yamanashi-shi Station, and is closed on Wednesdays (or the next day if it is a holiday). The bicycle rental service is available from 9:00 to 17:00, ID card required, regular bicycle ¥100 (deposit ¥1,000), electric assisted bicycle ¥510 (deposit ¥2,000).
- The above fares are based on cash. When using an IC card, the fares may differ slightly.
- The above times and distances are approximate. Does not include transfering or waiting times.

Travel journal of day trip bathing to hot spring
Characters
- Nishi-san
- He is an orthodox hot springs lover and particular about quality of springs. He loves the hot springs flowing from the source, the hot water with a presence, and the rustic atmosphere.
- Kita-san
- He doesn't care much about quality of hot springs. He loves the open-air bath, and prefers hot springs that have visible features such as good views.
By the way, today's one-day hot spring is "Hayabusa-onsen" in Yamanashi City. Nishi-san and Kita-san headed west on the JR Chuo Line, and took a bus from Yamanashi-shi Station. After getting on the bus while watching the Fuefuki River, they got off at Hayabusa-kami Bus Stop.
Exterior
We arrived.
Oh, the front is here. The bus stop was on the back.
Oh! This is a pretty garden, isn't it?
Front garden
A little Japanese-style garden.
Looking at this splendid garden, I have high expectations for hot springs.
After looking at the garden for a while, then they go to the entrance.
Entrance (and ornament)
Ugh, what a taste of this entrance!
Umm ...
You still expecting for looking at this?
Mmmm ... Yes, this is an acceptable range. This is a good hot spring. Definitely.
At once Nishi-san and Kita-san head to the bathing room. But before that, you will be greeted by a life-size statue of Hayabusa-onsen's official mascot "HAYABUSA Yura".
♨ Near Hayabusa-onsen are Erinji Temple and Hokoji Temple, temples related to the TAKEDA family.
HAYABUSA Yura
...
...
... looking at this, How are your expectations?
Nishi-san and Kita-san turned over a new leaf and started heading to the bathing room.
Indoor bath
Oh, splashing sound is amazing.
Hmm, the smell of sulfur is good.
Hot water is overflowing from the bathtub. It will be poured over too much.
Exactly, it's pretty powerful.
They enter the bathtub at once.
♨
HAYABUSA Yura (nicknamed Yurarin)
According to the previous Hayabusa-onsen website,
"Born on May 1st. Blood type B. Hobbies are visiting hot springs, astronomical observation, and bird watching."
Hot water spout
Oops! Splashing!
The spout is a carp.
What? What you said?
I told you the spout was a carp.
I couldn't hear you in the splash. But, it's like a cascading bath.
Exactly. And this water has a slimy feeling and it feels good.
What? What you said?
♨ You can drink the onsen water. Many regulars filled the bottle with onsen water on their way home. When you come to Hayabusa-onsen, you may want to bring a plastic bottle.
Next are the two who came out to the open-air bath. The temperature of the open-air bath is lower than that of the indoor bath. At this time, some customers were reading books while soaking in hot water.
Open-air bath
It's quiet outside.
It's not that big tub, but it feels good.
Because it's lukewarm, it's really great for a long bath.
Nishi-san and Kita-san have decided to relax in the open-air bath for a while. There is also a bench beside the open-air bath, so you can rest in the soft sunlight. In this way, they went back and forth between the open-air bath and the indoor bath, and enjoyed a lot of hot water of Hayabusa-onsen.
(April 2013)
Impression & rating
The smell of sulfur is pleasant and the feel of hot water is good. A very good hot spring where you can feel the freshness of the water.

Today's Ekiben
The bento of Kofu Station
(Purchased at Kofu Station)
The style is an ordinary bento.
But, among the ordinary dishes, "Hoto Gratin",
which is arranged a specialty of Yamanashi, has a large presence.
However, the "Hoto" element is just a pumpkin on top, almost an ordinary gratin.
To be honest, I thought gratin would not fit the bento that is eaten in state of cold.
But, when I tried it, it was surprisingly good.
